In addition to financial gifts, we welcome in-kind donations of goods, services, and expertise that support our mission — things like graphic design, photography or videography, web development, printing, event space, parenting/child development books, or professional time from therapists, coaches, and educators. If you have something in mind, reach out to us at info@modernapproachtoparenting.org to discuss how it could support our work. Please note: per IRS guidelines, MAP can acknowledge in-kind gifts but cannot assign a dollar value for tax purposes — donors are responsible for determining fair market value for their own records.

Yes. You're welcome to make a tribute gift in honor or in memory of someone meaningful to you. Just include their name and any message you'd like in the notes field at checkout, and let us know at info@modernapproachtoparenting.org if you'd like us to notify the honoree or their family of your gift.
In-Kind Gift Acceptance Policy
Purpose
The Modern Approach to Parenting (MAP), a program of The Modern Asian Parent, Inc., welcomes in-kind (non-cash) donations of goods, services, and expertise that support our mission and programs.
What We Generally Accept
Professional services (design, photography/videography, web development, translation, editing)
Event or meeting space
Printed materials, books, office supplies, or equipment relevant to our programs
Donated time from speakers, facilitators, therapists, coaches, or educators for programs and events
Marketing support (ad credits, nonprofit platform subscriptions)
What We Evaluate Case-by-Case
Gifts with usage restrictions or conditions attached
Large equipment, property, or items requiring maintenance/storage costs
Gifts that may create a conflict of interest or don't align with MAP's mission and values
What We Do Not Accept
Items that are damaged, expired, or unsafe for use
Gifts that would require MAP to endorse a product, service, or business
Anything inconsistent with MAP's mission, values, or nonprofit status
Valuation & Acknowledgment
MAP will provide a written acknowledgment describing the donated item or service. Per IRS guidelines, MAP does not assign or state a dollar value on this acknowledgment — donors are responsible for determining fair market value for their own tax purposes and should consult their tax advisor.
Approval
All donations or gifts, especially those involving ongoing costs (storage, maintenance, staffing) or usage conditions, will be reviewed and approved by MAP's Board of Directors before acceptance.
